In short: Nimmi plans dinners and builds a grocery list. It is a cooking tool, not a religious authority, a medical service or a substitute for reading the label on a packet. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and cancelled in your iPhone Settings.

1. The agreement
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the developer of Nimmi (“Nimmi”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the app and of nimmi.food. By downloading or using Nimmi you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.
Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of Nimmi. Where these terms and Apple's Standard EULA conflict, Apple's Standard EULA governs the licence itself.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Nimmi on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the recipe library from the app, except where the law says you may.
3. Subscriptions, trial and prices
- Nimmi Weekly: renews automatically every week.
- Nimmi Monthly: renews automatically every month.
- Nimmi Yearly: renews automatically every year.
The price of each plan, and any free trial it includes, is set in your App Store's currency and shown in the app before you buy. A free trial, where offered, is shown with its length on the same screen.
All purchases are made through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.
If you start a free trial and then buy a subscription before the trial ends, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited. A free trial may be offered once per Apple Account; Apple determines eligibility. Prices vary by region and store and may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal, and you can cancel first.
4. How to cancel
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Choose Nimmi, then Cancel Subscription.
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Only Apple can cancel or change your subscription; we cannot do it for you.
5. Refunds
All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in Nimmi went wrong, please tell us too: we want to fix it.
6. Recipes, halal and allergens
Nimmi plans around the food rules you choose. Where a recipe in Nimmi's own library is marked halal, it was written that way: pork and alcohol are excluded at source rather than filtered out afterwards, and ingredients that need a judgement call (such as soy sauce, stock cubes, gelatine, and vanilla extract) carry a note telling you what to check. Nimmi shows you those, it does not decide them.
We are not a halal certification body. Whether a particular brand or batch is halal depends on the manufacturer, the region and your own standard, and only the label and your own judgement can settle it. The same goes for kosher, vegan and gluten-free claims. Always read the packet.
Allergens. Dietary flags in the app are a planning aid, not a safety guarantee. Ingredients, formulations and manufacturing practices change, and cross-contamination happens in factories and in kitchens. If you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy or intolerance, check every label yourself. Do not rely on Nimmi for that.
Not health advice. Nimmi does not provide medical, nutritional or dietetic advice and is not a treatment for any condition. Talk to a qualified professional about your diet. You are responsible for safe food handling, storage and cooking temperatures.
Recipes you add. A recipe you add from a link, a photo or by typing it belongs to you and to its original author, not to us. Nimmi reads it for you but doesn't check it, and it carries only the food rules you tick. Respect the terms of the site or app you bring it from; Nimmi is for your own cooking, not for republishing other people's recipes.
Cooking times, quantities and servings are estimates. Ovens, hobs, pans and ingredients vary; use your own eyes and taste.
7. Acceptable use
Use Nimmi lawfully and for your own cooking. Don't try to break, tamper with or bypass the app's purchase checks, and don't scrape or republish the recipe library.
8. Content and intellectual property
The Nimmi name, logo, recipe library, aisle maps, text, design and code are ours or our licensors', and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Your licence to use the app does not transfer any of that to you.
Store and brand names (Kroger, Aldi, Patel Brothers, H Mart and others) are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe which aisle layouts Nimmi supports. Nimmi is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any retailer.
9. Changes to the app
Nimmi adds recipes, cuisines, seasonal packs and store aisle maps on an ongoing basis, and we may change or remove features. We may also retire the app; if we do, we will not charge a renewal after the retirement date.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nimmi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every recipe will suit your taste, your equipment or your standard of halal. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so some of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising out of your use of Nimmi. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Apple's role
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Nimmi or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and is not responsible for any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If Nimmi fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the courts located there, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be signposted in the app. Continuing to use Nimmi after a change means you accept the updated terms.
